It says in Isaiah 40:31 "but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint." This scripture saved my life. I've spent the last 8 years of my life chasing my dream. I've done every drill and gone to every tryout I could. I spent more hours practicing than sleeping relying on quotes like "ill sleep when I'm dead" to carry me through. Over the course of these 8 years I let my dream turn into an obsession, and I lost sight of why I started my path in the first place. |

One of my favorite scriptures from the bible is Mark11:23, which says “ For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to the mountain ,‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,‘and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. This scripture is the one scripture that answers all the questions or doubts we have about success. I’ve brought it up many of times in my notes and you can hear that scripture being referred to by many of the great figures in history. |

Have we forgotten the importance of our dreams? Dreams aren’t just thoughts that you have to get you through the night. They hold the answers to the questions we have in life, and they can lead us to the solution to all our problems. The people who have changed the world saw their actions in a dream first. Dreams are why we have new technology, and they are responsible for the cure to diseases.You’ve heard the phrase “the stuff dreams are made of’, well that’s the stuff success is made of. |

 There is an old saying that says; behind every great man, there’s a great woman. I have just realized how true this statement is. In order to be a great king you have to have a great queen by your side. Where would Martin Luther King Jr. be without Coretta?Where would Malcolm X be without Betty Shabazz? No king can be great alone. He needs the support of a woman that can help him to get through the good times and the bad. In my ignorant days I thought you didn’t need a woman to be successful. I thought that a woman can be the downfall of a man. |

Don’t waste your time addressing the negativity in your life. We have been born into a world of negativity created by envy and dishonor. We aren’t created to be this way we are just born into a world where these concepts are fed into our mind daily. The term "hater" is used to describe anyone who mindlessly downplays and disrespects the achievement of others. The worst part about haters is that they are fueled by the people who hate them. Hate is self fueling. You can only overcome hate by eliminating it out of yourself. |
