Restless

I wanted to sleep, so I laid down and closed my eyes, but they kept opening no matter what I did. I sat up, looked around the darkroom, and realized it would be the same surroundings as yesterday if I turned on the light.

I asked myself if I was comfortable with these surroundings. Every time I asked, the answer was "no." The only way I can change my surroundings is to succeed; since I haven’t succeeded yet, I guess I won’t be sleeping.

At least this way, I won’t have to wake up and realize that my surroundings haven’t changed.

Next time I go to sleep, I’ll wake up to success.
